Conveniently located at the crossroads leading from the Baltic Sea to the Black Sea and from East to West, the unique city of Lviv has always attracted numerous guests. Among them, there were such outstanding composers and performers of their times as Johannes Brahms, Gustav Mahler, Franz Liszt, Ruggero Leoncavallo, Fritz Kreisler and Franz Xaver Mozart.

The Opening Concert is a certain portrayal of Lviv and its famous guests who were creating the history of music. Sofia Soloviy and Noel Bouley, the soloists of the performance, will recreate glorious scenes from the musical past, i.e. performances of unique Solomiia Krushelnytska and unsurpassed bel canto master Mattia Battistini when touring Lviv. Finally, the musical image of Lviv will be reinforced through the works of Bohdan Sehin, a contemporary Lviv composer.
