Jovica Ivanovic was born in 1987 in Zvornik (Bosnia and Herzegovina). At the age of 7, he started to play the accordion. In 2006, he left the High Music School in Belgrade. Afterwards, Jovica Ivanovic was upgrading his professional skills through highly prestigious studying at Hannover University of Music, Drama and Media in Germany (2006-2015), where he obtained BA and ME degrees in music education accordion performing.
The musician has successfully competed in numerous musical contests, both as a solist and ensemble member. Jovica Ivanovic has also won prestigious scholarships, such as ‘Live Music Now’ scholarship to Yehudi Menuhin Fund, scholarships from Germany, the Hannover Region and to Hannover University of Music, Drama and Media.
The musician has performed in numerous concerts and festivals. including the International Bruckner Festival in Linz (Austria); the world premiere of the ‘Ein Glasperlenspiel’ concert for trumpet, harp and orchestra of accordions by Markus Stockhausen at the Hannover Congress Center in Germany. In adittion, Jovica Ivanovic played with several ensembles performing Piazzolla’s pieces at the Ilije M. Kolarca University and Belgrad Philharminic in Serbia, as well as with the National Chamber Ensemble "Kyiv Soloists" under Valery Sokolov (Ukraine) etc.
Apart from the classical repertoire, Jovica Ivanovic is more and more involved in performing Balkan music, jazz, funk and tango both as a soloist and ensemble or orchestra member at different concerts.
